First trial to adapt a modern Chinese style for a house project. The owner believes in Fung Shui and requesting a dark tone throughout the entire house design.

In this design, we tried to use some new interpretation to reveal the Chinese style. In modern way, we used metal to make a traditional screen pattern at foyer. A large round dome metal ceiling feature above the rectangular living room and family room layout, a traditional Chinese philosophy “天圓地方“, looks abstract yet having wisdom.
